Nursery is a warm, exciting learning environment operating through play. We have areas for writing, art, science, maths as well as lots of sensory and construction areas. We also have Spanish lessons taught by Miss Dupras.

We follow a two week topic cycle, incorporating a letter, number and colour of the week.

This term we are focusing on; school, transport, opposites, myself, shopping, minibeasts, autumn and senses.

Through these topics the children have all explored the EYFS areas of learning:

Personal, Social and Emotional Development: Making relationships, Self-confidence and self-awareness & Managing feelings and behaviour

Physical Development: Moving and handling & Health and self-care

Communication and Language: Listening and attention, Understanding, Speaking

Literacy:  Reading, Writing

Mathematics : Numbers, Shape, space and measure

Understanding the World: People and communities, The world, Technology

Expressive Arts and Design:  Exploring and using media and materials

Alongside the main school we also take part in mind up lessons, and have brain breaks throughout the day to calm our brains down ready for learning.
