Young Marketeers Sell their Produce

1st October 2016

This week some of our pupils have been working as market traders selling their produce at Borough Market.  Thanks to the hard work of Nightingale children in the garden their stall was bursting with carrots, beetroot, pumpkins and courgettes.  The money that they raised will be donated to Fair Share, a charity that ensures that excess food from across London is redistributed to those in need.

At Nightingale we have lots of initiatives to teach our children about healthy eating and where food comes from including cooking club and gardening club.  Our caterers are also helping us by providing healthy lunches every day as well as 'themed days' around organic and local food.
