YEAR 4

Summer Term
Spring Term
Year 4 went to visit London Mithraeum, also known as the Temple of Mithras. We discovered the ancient temple and a selection of remarkable Roman artefacts found in the UK's most significant sites.

Year 4 visited the Hackney School of Food to cook a dish inspired by the Roman Empire.
In Year 4 we have been learning about the 'Roman Empire'. During their unit, pupils in Year 4 have gathered a variety of information through their lessons to design their own pic collage about the Roman Army. They used resources from lessons, as well as key topic vocabulary to develop their own curiosity, asking questions about life during that time.
Autumn Term

In Year 4 we have been learning about the 'Victorian Era'. During their Victorian unit, pupils in Year 4 have used a variety of primary and secondary sources to explore life and technology advancements during this era. They used these resources, as well as key topic vocabulary to develop their own curiosity, asking questions about life during that time. Such as – how have the Victorians influenced our lives?

One of our lessons were to use our local area 'Hackney' to understand the features of a Victorian house. Children used their computing skills to design a pic collage and label key facts about the Victorian houses.
